Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia check in to your chosen hotel
Day 2: City tour in Addis Ababa
Day 3: Flight to Bahir Dar check in hotel/resort then boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the island monasteries
Day 4: Drive to Gonder check in hotel and make city tour
Day 5: Drive to Debarq to visit the Simien Mountains National Park overnight stay at Semien Lodge.
Day 6: Hike on Simien Mountains National Park then back to Gonder.
You will begin a short 3-4 hour hike from Buyit Ras to Sankober, which will allow you to acclimatize to the altitude. Nearing Sankober, you will have beautiful views on both sides of the escarpment ridge and where you will likely see the endemic Gelada baboons. Then drive to Debark for lunch. We will arrive back in Gondar let afternoon. Overnight in hotel.
Day7: Flight to Lalibela check in hotel then visit the Rock hewn churches
Visit some of the churches and back to hotel.
Day 8: Continue to visit the churches
In the morning we visit The Eastern Rock Churches in Lalibela and after lunch drive to Nakutelab Rock-Hewn Church, built under a natural cave. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 9: Flight to Axum check in hotel.
Today we explore Axum and around a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 10: Drive to Mekelle
Visit en route the rock-hewn churches of Tigray. Overnight hotel.
Day 11: Fly back to Addis Ababa
In the afternoon make a visit to Mercarto, the biggest open air market in East Africa, for shopping traditional cloths and handicrafts. Or take a rest before going to for farewell dinner in one of the traditional restaurant with live Ethiopian music and dance.
