Day 1: Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Air port
Meet and greet at Bole International then check in hotel relax.
Day 2: City tour in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa is the capital of Africa and Ethiopia.The city was founded in 1886 by Emperor Menelik II and Queen Taitu. Visit the Entoto Mountains, with very nice views over the capital, the National/Ethnographic museum, St George’s Cathedral/Trinity cathedral and Mercarto, supposedly the biggest open air market in Africa, stay overnight the same Hotel.
Day 3: Fly to Bahir dar and transfer to hotel/resort
Make a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the medieval period island monasteries such as; Kibran Gabriel (only for men), Entos and on the Zege Peninsula visit Ura Kidan Mehiret, Azuwa Mariam, and Debre Mariam then back to hotel/resort.
Day 4: Excursion to Blue Nile Falls and in afternoon drive to Gondar
After breakfast drive to Tis Isat (“smoking of Fire”); short walk to the waterfall you may enjoy nature and watch birds.
After having lunch, drive to Gondar via a scenic route and interesting landscape, stay overnight in Hotel/lodge.
Day 5: City tour in Gondar
Visit the Royal Enclosure that is surrounded by high stone walls containing the 17th century palaces of King Fasiladas, King Iyasu and Queen Mentewab and different other buildings , then continue visiting Fassiladas’s Bath, which is found in a peaceful, shady and attractive spot. After lunch visit the rectangular Debre Brehan Selassie, back to Hotel/ lodge.
Day 6: Fly to Lalibela check in to hotel
In the afternoon, visit the first group of rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, then back to Hotel.
Day 7: Visit Churches outside Lalibela
After breakfast go on a mule excursion to Asheton Mariam through the villages. In the afternoon visit the second group of rock-hewn churches, stay in the same place.
Day 8: Fly to Addis and drive to Langano via the Great Rift Valley
Meet at airport after lunch drive to Lanano, en route you will make a stop on the Awash River and Lake Ziway to visit aquatic birds. Its extensive aquatic vegetation attracts a variety of water birds, stay overnight in Resort.
Day 9: Drive to Dorze
En route visit Abjata and Shalla NP, Halaba, and Dorze villages, where you will see their cultural traits; weaving craft works, check in to Dorze lodge or continue drive to Arba Minch to stay overnight lodge/Hotel.
Day 10: Boat trip on Lake Chamo
Make a boat trip over Lake Chamo visit hippo colonies & the crocodiles market then walk in to Nechi Sar NP then back to Lodge/ hotel.
Day 11: Drive to Jinka.
On the way, visit the Derashe, Konso, Tsemay Bena and Ari tribes with their respective villages, stay overnight at Resort/ Hotels.
Day 12: Excursion to Mursi village
Drive to Mago National Park and then go on an excursion to the villages of the Mursi people, famous for their lip plates after lunch visit Jinka museum stay the same place.
Day 13: Drive to Turmi via Dimeka.
Visit the villages of the Hammer people to see their culture, hair styles and natural beauty of the people as well as possibly their dances. If it is Monday or Saturday, visit the market of the Hamer people. We stay overnight at Lodge/camping.
Day 14: Excursion to Omorate
Today you drive through the wilderness of the Omo valley to the Dassanech Tribe who are living on the other side of the Omo River, back to the same place.
Day 15: Drive to Arba Minch through Arbore and Tshmay villages and in the afternoon visit the Konso villages.
En route visit Arbore and Tsemay village check in in Resort /Hotel.
Day 16: Drive to Addis Ababa
Drrive back to addis via Wolayta-Butajira en route visit Hidiya and Guragi, Tiya stele filed and Adadi Mariam rock when church, check in to hotel.
Day 17: Last day in Addis Ababa
After breakfast out for shopping and to visit some art galleries, late in afternoon have a farewell coffee ceremony and check in for departure back home.
