Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
You will be meet at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, and transferred to the chosen hotel relax, after lunch out for site seeing
Day 2: City tour in Addis Ababa
You spend the day exploring Addis Ababa beginning with a visit to the National Museum, one of the most important sub- Saharan museums in all of Africa. Then continue to visit the Ethnological Museum, which was the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie I. After lunch, we take time in Holy Trinity Cathedral. And then we visit Mercato, the largest open air market in Africa. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 3: Drive to Kombolcha
En route visit the Debre Brehan Selassie church. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 4: Drive to Lalibela
You will have some stops to enjoy panoramic views and if there is market days. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 5: Continue to visit the churches In Lalibela
The city contains 11 monolithic churches that were built in the 12th century and are carved out of the pink granite rock; they have been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 6: Drive to Mekelle
In the morning drive to Mekele in rout Yemrehenna Krisos despite being one of best preserved late Axusmit buildings, visit panoramic view and Lake Ashengi for overnight.Overnight Mekele Hotel.
Day 7: Drive to Hamed Ila
Drive from Mekele to Hamed Ila via Berehale then proceed to Hamed Ila,we will see the Camel caravans along the way carrying salt from the salt lake to Mekele for sale. Overnight camping at Hamed Ila
Day 8: Visit the Dallol Depression and Lake Asale
After breakfast, take a day trip to Dallol, which at 116m below sea level is the lowest point on the African continent. Here the landscape is beautiful, the ground many shades of red and yellow from the hot water, acids and minerals spurting up from the ground. At the end of the day we return to Hamed Ila for overnight camping.
Day 9: Drive to Erat ale
From Hamed Ila, continue to Erta Ale via Kusawad. The Erta Ale volcano has been in a constant state of eruption for over 40 years. You will camp in the village of El Dom, where it will be an early-to-bed night.
Day 10: Visit the active volcano Erat ale
Today is an early-to-rise start at 2:00 Am to start your hike to the crater rim of the Erta Ale volcano. At the top, you will peer down at the permanent lava lake (the only one in the world!) while the sun rises over the horizon. Definitely the highlight of the trip! After the hike back to camp and a bit of breakfast, you’ll continue driving to Lake Afrera for overnight camping or in local hotel.
Day 11: Drive to Semera
Lake Afrera is a wonderfully bright green lake situated with the black basalt mountains behind. It’s a stunning location. Here you can see more salt extraction from the lake, where the Afar nomads continue the same activities they have for centuries. The salt extraction here is the main supply of salt to Addis Ababa. Day 12: Drive to Awash National Park
Today we will drive from Semera through the Yangudi-Rassa National Park. Overnight stay in Awash hotel or Awash Falls Lodge.
Day 13: Drive to Harar
In the morning after visiting the Awash National Park drive to Harar. Overnight at Harar hotel or guest house
Day 14: City tour in Harar
In the morning after breakfast visit the town of Harar and Harar historical walls and museum and in the evening visit the hyena man feed hyena. Overnight stay at hotel or guest house
Day 15: Drive to Sodore
In the morning after breakfast drive to Sodere for relaxing and swimming on the Hot Spring Water. Overnight stay in Sodore resort hotel
Day 16: Drive back to Addis Ababa and departure to home
In the morning after breakfast drive back to Addis via Mojo have stop on some of creator lakes in the evening fly back home.
